Just a quick post to keep you all informed about some important club changes and notices:


Session Cancellation:

There will be no training at Worsley tomorrow (Friday 14th June) as we are hosting a swimming competition. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

There will still be a session on Saturday morning open to Barracudas, Piranhas and Sharks from 7am - 8am.

Important Update: Restructure

I'm happy to tell you that I can finally shed some light on our restructure plan which has been bubbling away in the background since Christmas. The new restructure will come into place on Monday 17th June, so we still have a few weeks to iron out any creases and give you enough notice.

NEW Saturday Morning Training Session

We are happy to let you know that from this week, we have secured an extra one hour's pool time for our Worsley ASC members at Fit City Worsley Pool!

Just a little message to notify you that I'm having a clear out of some swimming gear which is currently over-crowding our new apartment, and I'm selling some items on eBay which you may possibly be interested in.

Christmas Closures

With Christmas growing ever closer, we thought it was about time we emailed you with some information about our arrangements for over the festive season:

Aspire Channel Swim Now Complete!

Swimmers at Worsley ASC took part in the grand finale of their Aspire Swim Challenge last Friday evening.


For three weeks, the swimmers have contributed in many ways in order to raise awareness for people who suffer from spinal injuries.

Aspire Swim Challenge Big Finale!

As you may know, over the last three weeks Worsley ASC Swimmers have been taking part in the Aspire Channel Swim challenge, swimming the channel in training to raise money for people who suffer from spinal injuries.

Worsley Win the Manchester and District Presidents Cup!

Tues 25th Sept: Lessons Cancelled in Small and Middle Pool Tonight!

Sorry for the short notice, but I have just been informed that all lessons in the Small and Middle pools tonight will have to be cancelled due to an accident that happened in there earlier today (25th September).

The large pool lessons will take place as normal.

Worsley ASC - M&D Teams Div.2 Champions!

Yesterday afternoon, Worsley ASC took a squad of 38 swimmers aged 14/under to the M&D Teams Division 2 Final at Irlam Pool.

After an extremely successful series of group competitions, Worsley won the overall trophy and were presented with this at the start of the competition, we were also entered into the final in first place in lane 3.

TGI Fridays for the Worsley Coaches!

Our coaches came together for a lovely meal at TGI Fridays on Thursday night to bid a fond farewell to fellow coaches Lauren McCann and Kiera Hall. Both coaches have regrettably had to give up coaching for us at the start of the new academic year, as Lauren moves on to persue her career in Primary Teaching and Kiera moves down to study at Leeds for University.

Jacob and Tobias at The British Heroes Tour!

A few months ago, Jacob Whitehead and Tobias Fox entered and won a Poetry competition to be a part of the British Heroes Tour in Coventry. On Monday 17th September, the boys travelled the distance and represented Team Worsley at what Jacob described to be an 'amazing and unforgettable day'.
