Thank you very much for your interest in joining Worsley Amateur Swimming Club. We always welcome new members!
Here's how it works:
1. Fill out the form below if you wish to come along for a trial at Worsley ASC.
2. Once your form has been submitted you will be placed on a short waiting list, whilst we assess your child's ability based on the information you provide, and check for spaces available in the group we think is most suitable.
3. Michelle Grovestock our membership secretary will contact you when a trial becomes available in the group we think is suitable for you. We will invite you to attend the trial on a Tuesday evening (whenever is suitable for you and the coach), as soon as possible after there has been a space allocated in that group. The trial will involve your child joining in with a regular training session in the group we feel is most appropriate, based on the information you give us, along with a one-to-one technique analysis at some point during the session. After the trial, if your child is allocated a space in that group, you will be asked to fill out the membership form and pay your annual membership fee of £50 on the day of the trial. This will then allow you to begin training right away, starting from the following session.
Please note: The minimum requirement for joining the club is that your child must be able to swim 25m of all four strokes, and should be near the completion of Stage 6 on the National Learn to Swim Programme. You may be asked to provide proof that you have completed the Learn to Swim Programme, in the form of a certificate for Stage 5/6 or a signed letter from your swimming teacher. This is in keeping with our agreement with Salford Community Leisure. Again, apologies for the inconvenience.
